As many of you will know – since the ad has been lurking on our front page for the past few months – Chris and Phil have been nominated for a European Podcast Award! Voting closes on Saturday 31st July, so this is our final call for your votes!
The EPA is organised by the “Initiative Europea Podcast Awards” with the kind support of OLYMPUS. The awards are for audio podcasts which are meaningful, original and popular, and of course are made in Europe. Chris and Phil have been nominated in the category for Personality (private podcasts).
How will the podcasts be evaluated?
All nominated podcasts can be evaluated and rated online on the “Vote and Win” page. Finally a jury of specialists will award the prizes for the podcasts, taking the online ratings into account.
How long will the Award last?
You will have the chance to nominate your favorite podcasts til the end of April and voting commences until the end of July. After that, our jury will take the results from the voting plus the points for all the other elements and we will announce the European winners during IFA Berlin in September.
What is there to be won?
The national and European winners will receive official notification and will also receive their awards publicly, if possible. They will receive valuable material prizes (audio-recording devices / software). Prizes will also be drawn among the visitors to the portal, who have proposed and / or rated podcasts.
So… loyal listeners, we need your votes! Please spread the word, tell your friends and get voting and we’ll let you know how we get on when the jury’s results are announced in September.
With FrightFest now firmly established as the leading genre festival in the UK, the team have now launched their own horror E-Zine and Chris and Phil are delighted to have been asked to contribute a regular ‘And finally…’ podcast, discussing each issue’s hot topics in their own inimitable style.

The first issue features an in-depth interview (video & text) with the director of the controversial film A Serbian Film. There are also candid interviews with scare-meister Eli Roth and the ‘Ghost Stories‘ fear-team Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson.
Plus there’s plenty more – trailers, podcasts, gossip, reviews and… whatever happened to Colin director Marc Price? The E-Zine is FREE so download it today.”
